In today’s fast paced world we have become increasing dependent on our assumptions. The problem is that we treat them as truths rather than a set of beliefs. My new book, “Follow the Other Hand” reminds us how to challenge our assumptions and teaches us how to use this process to generate new ideas and innovative solutions.

Andy recently led a workshop for us--a large development staff for a large non-profit. His exercises in challenging assumptions motivated staff to look at our "assumed" sources for new donors. Through an exciting exchange, we did a complete turnaround in thinking, finding new priorities in outreach to potential donors, which will guide our work this year, and, I am confident, lead to a new generation of engaged donors for our organization.
